INTERNATIONAL EXPEDITIONS

South China Seas Expedition 2015
One week diving the famous Historical but little dived wrecks of HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales in the South China Seas May 2015 on a new Dive boat set up for Technical Diving.

Jack Ingle is leading this expedition to dive some of the best wreck sites the area offers and the cost of £1770 includes full live aboard. This also includes the hire twinsets and air. We do carry Oxygen and Helium on board but is an extra charge. CCR cylinders & Stage Deco cylinders are available to hire and Sofnolime for Rebreathers is available to purchase.

Travel arrangements can be organised individually. Flights to Singapore are normally around £500 to £700.

The actual dives planned will be arranged around the group of divers and will be dependent on their wishes, qualifications and experience. Please discuss this with Jack Ingle. Some of the sites available are listed below but there are many more.

HMS Repulse and Prince of Wales
These vessels were the lead players in the operation Churchill mounted to deter Japan from entering WW2. Tragically the operation went sadly wrong when Japanese torpedo bombers found the convoy and sunk both these ships with a huge loss of life. Both were Battleships, with the Prince of Wales being the larger of the two. The repulse lies on her side in a maximum depth of 55 metres with her starboard side being at 38 metres, this can be dived comfortably on air. The Prince of Wales is upside down with the deepest part of the wreck at 68 metres (props at 50 metres). The Repulse is one of the most outstanding wreck sites I have dived with the background to the tragic event and your thoughts for those very brave men who were on board this vessel when it sank.

Sara Dee
This is a wreck that sunk in collision with another vessel not that long ago and is lying on her starboard side on the seabed. She is a cargo vessel and with very easy access to all decks and you can chose your depth from 38 to 50 metres. Visibility is good and as all dives in this part of the world water temperature is about 29 degrees Celsius. Apart from the interest of a good wreck dive this site offers stunning marine life with Manta Ray, Batfish and at the right time of year Whale Shark.
Other sites include:
The Aur tanker, The Japanese armed merchantman, Island of Tioman, Island of Aur, Island of Pemanggil, The Dutch Submarine, Maritime Fidelity, the Bangka wreck and many other wreck and reef sites.
